Position Summary
Lifeguards at SUNY Cortland will be responsible for lifeguarding during aquatic activities.What makes SUNY Cortland a great place to work?

Major Responsibilities
Lifeguards will supervise, oversee, and monitor all persons in the pool area for adherence to all policies. Lifeguards will also practice preventative supervision and respond to emergencies in accordance with their training. Orientation, In-service training is required at least once a semester, more if deemed necessary by a supervisor.Functional and Supervisory Relationships
Reports directly to the designated facility/program supervisor and the head swim coach.Required Qualifications
- Current certification in lifeguard training/first aid
- Valid CPR certification
