(Primary Location for Job Responsibilities) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
The primary service technician for the university's content management system (CMS). Works directly with individuals and groups to develop and deploy academic and administrative departmental websites. Oversees the management of the university search appliance, as well as a third-party form development application. Oversees the management of support requests, including site migrations, web edits, file uploads, form development, and training requests.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops academic, administrative, institute, and faculty websites using templates, assets, forms and snippets
2. Manages, processes, completes and responds to customer service requests and incidents through the university's IT ticketing system, including account requests, user permissions, DNS requests, redirects, editing site content, working with RSS feeds, and managing links.
3. Oversees and manages the university's search appliance, including tuning search results, managing crawlers and the site index, and user administration
4. Oversees and manages the university's web-based form development system, including the creation of forms, coding of advanced form logic, workflow and approvals, and user administration
5. Provides advice and counsel to web authors on website best practices, including usability, information architecture, and search engine optimization
6. Assist faculty in the development of personal faculty websites
7. Provides customer support, including assisting end-user and web author issues regarding website maintenance
8. Creates, coordinates and provides user training as requested
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in IT/ Computer Science or related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
Required Experience
Three (3) years of recent experience in website development, maintenance and/or management
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in higher education
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Advanced degree in IT or related field

KNOWLEDGE
In-depth knowledge in designing web and mobile strategies to meet institutional goals
In-depth knowledge in designing and developing responsive websites
In-depth knowledge and experience with content management systems
Expert-level ability in coding and editing websites using HTML and CSS
SKILLS
Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
