Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Edits and updates websites using the Omni CMS web platform
* Creates and manages short links (ex. Tiny URLs) and QR Codes for promotional materials
* Updates campus digital signage systems (ex. OwlTV) with timely and accurate content
* Submits weekly content to the campus-wide 'KSU Inform' and 'Student Feed' platforms
* Supports email marketing efforts by creating and scheduling emails in Constant Contact as
needed
DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Demonstrate knowledge of WordPress functionality, including page creation, content formatting,
and plugin use
Job Summary
Responsible for creating, planning, and implementing digital content that enhances online user experience. Collaborates with a team that includes creative, marketing, events, data analysis and communication to develop fully functioning websites through design plans, analytics, creative collateral, and verbal direction. Develops marketing strategy to communicate sales, promotions, advertising, or informational and public relation campaigns to target markets and audiences. Create, plan, and implement an engaging and interactive social media content strategy that enhances the reputation of the department and/or college. Engage in daily activity on social media channels to advance the brand and promote events and programs. Assists department leader with website maintenance and oversees site content optimization.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Creates and follows an editorial calendar
2. Generates content for campaign messaging, collateral, calls to action (CTA), landing pages, website content, emails, marketing content, newsletters, social media, etc.
3. Generates, edits, publishes, and shares content (original text, images, video, or HTML) that encourages community engagement with the department and/or college
4. Coordinates and executes photography and videography assignments while working collaboratively with departments and team members
5. Optimizes pages within each platform to increase visibility of department and/or college's social content
6. Monitors conversations and respond to user generated comments and questions posted on accounts
7. Develops email marketing campaigns using Constant Contact or similar software
8. Identifies and implements innovative Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategies utilizing analytic tools and resources, provide insights and make recommendations for updates and optimization and write content to meet SEO, web goals, and objectives
9. Writes dynamic, high-impact copy that delivers marketing outcomes
10. Monitors industry trends, technologies, and standards and research, recommend, and apply new technologies and analytics as necessary
11. Plans and manages project communications, continuously monitoring project status, proactively managing changes, and communicating on a regular basis
12. Ensures evaluation and analysis of marketing content initiatives to determine effectiveness of implemented strategies and recommend adjustments needed
13. Utilizes analytic tools and resources to analyze digital marketing performance, report Key Performance Indicators (KPI), and provide insights and recommendations for content performance improvement
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field
Required Experience
Two (2) years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Experience in video storytelling from concept and shooting to editing
Experience in marketing, communications or public relations in a university or school setting Digital marketing content experience
Experience with Google Analytics Intermediate and SEO BrightEdge
Experience with HTML and scripting compatibility issues between different browsers
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
Proposed Salary
The budgeted salary range is $47,000 to $60,000 annually. Offers are based on relevant experience.
