Job Description

The Upward Bound program is hiring two employees through PEAK Temporary Services. The position pays $13.50/hr and lasts until July 11th.
Schedule: (28 hours a week) Monday - Wednesday - 1:00pm - 8:00 pm; Thursday - 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Job duties:
- Advise and supervise first-generation and low-income high school students in the 9th - 12th grade.
- Responsible for directing and operating nightly (3pm - 9pm) activities Mondays and Wednesdays.
- Responsible for directing and operating daily (7am - 1pm) activities Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- Serve as exceptional mentors and role-models to students.
- Perform conflict resolution and counseling on an as needed basis.
- Maintain and complete student documentation.
- Monitor and troubleshoot students and report safety concerns.
- Attend events where students and parents are present.
- Set up and supervise events as needed.
- Provide leadership for student in preparing for their days.
- Participate in end of program achievement awards reception.
- Enforce and uphold the code of conduct for all Upward Bound participants and staff.

Skills:
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to accurately read and understand written materials and instructions
- General office skills such as phone, copying, faxing, filing, and handling mail
