The Director of Tax Credit Giving will drive business development and relationship management efforts to expand participation in Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs, helping to generate critical scholarship funding for students across the IMS network. This is a front-line, revenue-generating role focused on identifying prospects, cultivating relationships, and closing gifts. The ideal candidate is a motivated, results-oriented professional who is energized by building partnerships and advancing educational opportunities. This position reports to the Chief Advancement Officer and operates in a hybrid environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and execution of a growth-focused tax credit fundraising plan with measurable revenue and donor acquisition goals.
  • Identify, engage, and close new tax credit donors, including individuals, businesses, and special purpose entities (SPEs).
  • Manage a portfolio of existing donors to strengthen relationships and increase giving over time.
  • Deliver persuasive pitches, presentations, and customized proposals that clearly articulate the benefits of tax credit giving.
  • Plan and execute donor education efforts, including one-on-one meetings, small group sessions, and virtual briefings.
  • Collaborate closely with the advancement team to ensure coordinated messaging, stewardship, and pipeline growth while working independently to execute the fundraising plan.
  • Stay current on relevant tax credit program guidelines (training provided) and ensure donor communications reflect accurate and up-to-date information.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with high-capacity individuals and decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and compelling way.
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment and can work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
