Summary of Position



The Clinical Training/Admissions Coordinator is integral to the Nursing Program, overseeing admissions and clinical coordination from initial advising through to student graduation. This role involves managing the admissions process, including maintaining expertise in related software, developing annual programming, training faculty, and assigning applications for review. The coordinator develops and communicates the admissions timeline, reviews applications for prerequisite requirements, and manages applicant correspondence. Additionally, the position oversees administrative functions such as purchasing, payroll, and interpreting fiscal rules to ensure compliance. The coordinator also manages student records, including background checks, health certifications, and licensure, in alignment with ACEN and State Board of Nursing requirements. In clinical training management, the coordinator assists in securing and developing appropriate clinical training sites, processing affiliation agreements, scheduling site visits, and ensuring timely student credentialing. Acting as the liaison between students and clinical sites, the coordinator addresses any issues that arise during clinical training. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to supporting the educational and professional development of nursing students.

This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This is a grant funded position and contingent upon continued funding. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.

Qualifications



Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
-Ability to work independently to meet deadlines. 
-Ability to use and extract data from central and local data systems.
-Demonstrated ability to use MS Office and Excel spreadsheets 
-Analytical skills: ability to understand how decisions and actions impact constituents across the organization
-Excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills.
-Strong attention to detail.
-Knowledge of Banner student, faculty, and financial platforms
-Ability to quickly learn various types of other resources such as Sign-Up Genius, Doodle Polls, Survey Monkey, etc.

Required Qualifications
-Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

-Experience working with Healthcare Professionals

Physical & Cognitive Demands

The following are some of the physical and cognitive demands commonly associated with this position.

-Occasionally moves, positions, and transports files and office materials weighing up to 10 lbs. 
-This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
-The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
-Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Starting Salary 
Starting salary range for this position is $48,305 to $53,136 annually, commensurate with education and experience. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position. This is a grant funded position and contingent upon continued funding. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System.
