Position Highlights

The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Recruitment Professional (I) at the College of Pharmacy, Phoenix campus. The Recruitment Professional (I) will collaborate with Recruitment Team to help coordinate, attend, and host recruitment events on and off campus including attending events at area high schools, develop and maintain relationships with educational institutions and independent college counselors, collaborate with other programs and faulty at the Phoenix Biomedical Campus, and serve as the main point of contact between applicants and the institution. The Recruitment Professional (I) will collaborate with the college members regarding the PharmD programs at ASU, NAU, GCU, and MCC, help organize schedules, assist with training student ambassadors, conduct campus tours and assist with coordinating College of Pharmacy events. This position will be located at the College of Pharmacy, Phoenix. This position will require periodic travel throughout the year, and occasional evening and weekend work.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work with Recruitment Team to identify target populations for Bachelors in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BSPS), Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programs and assist with planning recruitment activities for targeted schools, agencies, conferences, etc. to meet with prospective students, parents, counselors, and administrators.
  • With guidance from senior team members, represent College of Pharmacy by giving presentations at various events including college fairs and community meetings. Discuss programs offered at the College of Pharmacy and conduct information sessions and orientations for prospective students.
  • Assist Recruitment Team with day-to-day tasks including managing applicant pool using campus administrative software and strategic communication methods (phone calls, email, social media, in-person etc.) in effort to encourage applicants for admissions and ultimately enrollment.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with education institutions and college counselors.
  • Collaborate with Recruitment team with ongoing recruitment strategies and assist with documenting recruitment and events activities.
  • Collaborate with OSS specialists and receive guidance for all recruitment events including orientation on the Phoenix campus.
  • Collaborate with BSPS Advisors and Admissions Coordinator on Pre-Pharmacy Club Activities.
  • Assist with planning and managing PharmD orientation scheduling each year.
  • Assist College of Pharmacy Team members with PharmD events sponsored by the Office of Student Services including orientation, wellness events, end-of-year picnic, and other campus-wide events in collaboration with Phoenix Staff.
  • Assist with organizing PharmD interview days working with Student Services team, faculty/preceptors, and PharmD student volunteers.
  • Assist with planning and scheduling PharmD Open House on both campuses, receiving guidance and working with Student Services team, Phoenix staff/faculty/preceptors/alumni, and PharmD student volunteers.
  • Participate in policy and procedures development for recruitment and events.
  • Serve as a member of the Student Services Team and assist members as needed.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report

In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims.
