Mohave College is proud to launch its brand-new Advanced Manufacturing Training Center (AMTC)-a state-of-the-art facility located in the Kingman Industrial Complex, designed to meet the evolving workforce needs of Mohave County and beyond. This innovative training center will serve as a hub for hands-on technical education, employer-driven workforce development, and next-generation industrial learning.
We are currently seeking a full-time Faculty member in Robotics & Automation to play a key role in shaping and delivering one of the most exciting new programs at the College.
The ideal candidate brings strong industry experience in robotics, automation, and control systems, paired with the ability to teach and inspire students in a practical, engaging, and supportive way. You are technically skilled, comfortable with programming and computer-based systems, and passionate about translating complex concepts into meaningful learning experiences. Most importantly, you believe in student success and thrive in an environment where innovation and education intersect.
As part of the AMTC faculty team, you'll teach in a cutting-edge environment alongside experts in industrial maintenance, CAD, fabrication, HVAC, manufacturing, and welding-helping students gain the real-world skills needed for today's high-demand careers. The AMTC will also include a public-facing Innovation Center, expanding access to advanced tools and technology for both students and the community.

Teaching and Learning
- Successfully teaches in a learner-centered environment with knowledge in the field of instruction as well as the ability to design, implement, manage and assess courses taught in a variety of instructional modes.
- Guides learning in content of discipline and related courses in all modalities in person, hybrid and online and credit/non-credit.
- Uses a learner-centered approach that incorporates active learning strategies and technology to enhance student learning.
- Plans, develops, and uses effective teaching methods and materials which assist students in meeting course objectives, are appropriate for students of varied educational and experiential backgrounds and learning styles, and engage the students in learning.
- Reviews, evaluates, and recommends student learning course materials. Develops and uses a syllabus and course information materials for each course, laboratory, or clinical setting within state, college, and departmental guidelines.
- Observes and evaluates student performance in meeting course objectives and student learning outcomes through assignments, projects, discussions, and examinations; provides feedback in a timely manner to student inquiries in class, online, and/or during office hours.
- Maintains current, accurate records of course enrollment, attendance, student academic progress, course curriculum, and student learning outcomes; prepares and submits data and reports related to course and student progress in a timely manner.
- Participates in activities required to maintain program and college accreditation standards including program review.
- Provides access to students through posted conference hours, electronic communications, and other appropriate methods and responds to inquiries in a timely manner.
- Advises and instructs students regarding programs of study, effective study skills and successful academic performance, and lifelong learning resources; refers students to support services, programs, resources, and other professionals as appropriate.
- Teaches at times and locations that meet student needs.
- Maintains high standards of competence in the discipline(s) and teaching methodologies through professional development activities.
- Participates in professional development activities including, but not limited to: workshops and conferences; membership in professional organizations; self-improvement course work and activities.
- Reviews, evaluates, reflects, and revises program curricula and teaching methods ensuring appropriate and relevant content and practices through a self-evaluation process of self-reflection.
- Meets or exceeds professional standards, state-mandated guidelines, requirements of business/industry, and higher education, as appropriate to the discipline(s).
- Assists in curriculum development, creating learning activities and implementing assessment and planning.
- Actively participates in college meetings and/or committees, task forces, councils, faculty activities, student activities and college-wide initiatives.
- Participates in college-related activities such as registration, community education, recruitment of students, student retention and faculty selection.
- Participates in college activities for students/student organizations to aid in retention.
- Participates in business and community activities that foster goodwill and promote the mission and values of the college.
- Participates in setting departmental goals, in developing college budgets that support the goals, and in planning for achieving those goals.
- Promotes and maintains departmental affiliation agreements and other partnerships with other institutions and stakeholder organizations.
Minimum:
- Bachelor Degree in the field to be taught
- Associate Degree and 3 years' experience in the field to be taught
- Postsecondary/Industry Certification or Credential and 5 years' experience in the field to be taught
