Description
Support District Continuous Improvement (DCI) through collaboration within a state system of support to advance and sustain a district-wide focus on an identified set of effective educational practices and increase the use of technologies to support implementation of professional development.
Improved academic and social/behavioral outcomes for all students, but especially students with disabilities, through the development and implementation of a district-level system as referenced in the State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP)

District Continuous Improvement (DCI) Consultant will: - 100%
- Actively support the effective implementation of the DCI/MMD process to promote:
* Internal capacity building for sustainability; and
* Fidelity of district practice to DCI/MMD expectations - Coaching Support Team positions are specifically intended to provide support at the district leadership and building leadership team levels. It is expected that personnel filling these positions have a thorough knowledge of the content required in their position, demonstrate a high level of aptitude for participating in and guiding team practices and processes, and are skilled in delivery of HQPD coaching with adult learners. Individuals in these positions are expected to have a working knowledge of technology for use in virtual coaching sessions.
- Personnel supporting District Continuous Improvement Districts are required to have a thorough understanding of the scope of work and intended outcomes. Individuals are expected to participate in team coaching practices including coaching preparation, facilitation of feedback and solution dialogue, and adhere to an established plan of coaching. All contracted personnel are expected to use the materials and tools provided or approved by DESE with integrity. Individuals providing services outlined in this contract are expected to be ambassadors o DESE and the Central Regional Professional Development Center in their work with districts, schools and communities.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in the following field(s) of study: education, special education, education administration or appropriate related field or evidence of equivalency
- (Master's Degree preferred) Master's degree in the following field(s) of study: educational leadership, technology, curriculum/assessment preferred.
- Ten (10) years successful general and/or special education classroom teaching, school improvement planning, administration, or related experience in public education in Missouri.
- Experience with group facilitation and presentation.
