English, Humanities, and Languages Adjunct

The Department of English, Humanities, and Languages at Southeastern Oklahoma State University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate courses during the Fall 2025 semester. We are specifically looking for instructors in the areas of English composition, literature, humanities, Spanish, and other modern languages.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Teaching one or more undergraduate courses (in-person, online, or hybrid)
  • Delivering engaging and inclusive instruction aligned with departmental standards
  • Providing timely feedback and maintaining communication with students
  • Participating in course assessment and contributing to student success
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in English, Humanities, Spanish, or a related field
(or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline)
  • Prior teaching experience preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with online or hybrid instruction
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas)
  • Bilingual abilities (particularly in Spanish) for language instruction roles
Course Formats:
Courses may be delivered face-to-face on our Durant campus, online, or in a hybrid format, depending on departmental needs.
