Objective
To deliver instruction in a variety of modalities including didactic, laboratory, clinical, and online methods. Content is related to the curriculum standards set forth by the Texas Board of Nursing. The primary role of this position will be direct clinical supervision.
Essential Duties
1. Prepare written and digital materials for instruction for didactic, laboratory, and clinical settings.
2. Ensure progress toward programmatic, course, and student learning outcomes.
3. Provide supervision to students for didactic, laboratory, and clinical settings.
4. Evaluate students and ensure competency for skills related to safe patient care and assignment of grades.
5. Participate in continuing education opportunities to ensure effective teaching methodologies.
6. Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of nursing skills and concepts.
7. Function as a part of a team in collaborative efforts toward programmatic or institutional goals.
8. Demonstrate positive communication and interpersonal skills with faculty, staff, students, and organization officials.
9. Maintain student records and/or files consistent with program requirements.
10. Performs other duties as assigned.
11. Clinical supervision is required. Acute care site is Brenham, TX. Clinical hours are 6:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. Mastery of The Nursing Process
2. Able and willing to use a variety of software and digital platforms adopted by the District and program, i.e. Microsoft Office products, learning management systems, classroom technology.
3. Ability to teach content related to program objectives
4. Current and active Texas RN license as per the Texas BON
Preferred Experience and Training
Previous teaching experience with nursing students.
Experience teaching distance learning courses.
Physical Requirements
Ability to bend, lift, and stand/walk for long periods at a time when performing clinical supervision.
Required Degree, License or Certifications
1.Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
2. Current TX RN License
3. Actively employed as RN for three full years

Must be CPR certified. Must have all immunizations required for clinical supervision. This is a 10 month, on campus/clinical (not remote), benefits eligible position. Blinn College pays 100% of health insurance for full time employees, 50% for dependents, and two times your annual salary in life insurance benefits.
