The Department of Computer Science at Washington and Lee University (http://cs.wlu.edu) invites applications for two Visiting Assistant Professors of Computer Science, each lasting for 1 year, beginning July 1, 2025. These positions carry a 6-course teaching load distributed over Fall and Winter terms (12 weeks each) and the university's signature 4-week Spring Term. Candidates should be prepared to teach introductory courses--including classes for non-majors--as well as intermediate or advanced courses in one or more of the core areas in computer science. Our introductory courses have an associated lab, which counts towards the teaching load.

Washington and Lee is a highly selective independent, co-educational, liberal arts college of approximately 1850 undergraduate and 400 law students and is located in Lexington, VA, in the scenic Shenandoah Valley. Qualifications
Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. in computer science or a closely related field upon employment. All areas of computer science will be considered.
