Bucknell University seeks to hire two one-year visiting assistant professors in English, one with a specialization in fiction and one with a specialization in creative nonfiction. Ability to teach across genres is valued but not required. The course load will be 3/3 and will include both introductory and advanced classes. These positions will begin in August 2025.
The ideal candidate will be a teacher-scholar with a demonstrated interest in working with a diverse student population at a primarily undergraduate liberal arts institution. Strong applications will address how the candidate's experiences, knowledge, skills, and/or past accomplishments will contribute to inclusive teaching. MFA or Ph.D. and teaching experience along with a strong record of publication required.
