Frontline Retail Sales Consultant - University Stores
The Carnegie Mellon University Store is searching for a Frontline Retail Sales Assistant to join the team! You will contribute to the department by providing support in the university store which sells CMU merchandise, computers, art supplies, office products and gifts. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and diverse work environment.
Core responsibilities include:
Greeting customers and assisting them in finding merchandise.
Acting as brand ambassador to provide assistance and information to visitors and community members.
Managing transactions at the point-of-sale.
Monitoring inventory levels and restocking the sales floor.
Providing leadership to the student employees.
Other duties as assigned.

You should demonstrate:
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift - up to 50 lbs
Qualifications:
Minimum education High School or GED
1-3 years retail customer service preferred
Requirements:
Successful Background Check
Pre-employment drug and alcohol screen
Occasional weekend hours required

This is a full-time (37.5 hours), non-exempt position based in Pittsburgh, PA
