Description:

The Connell School of Nursing invites applications for part-time clinical faculty positions to teach and mentor students in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS) and/or direct entry Master's programs. We are seeking dedicated nursing professionals with expertise in one or more of the following specialty areas: Adult Health, Childbearing (OB), Child Health (Pediatrics), Psychiatric-Mental Health, Population Health, and Nursing Synthesis.

Part-time clinical faculty play a vital role in providing high-quality clinical instruction, fostering professional growth, and preparing students to meet the complex healthcare needs of diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver hands-on clinical instruction and supervision to prelicensure undergraduate and graduate nursing students in one or more specialty areas.

Identify and assign patient care experiences to maximize student learning opportunities.

Develop and implement evidence-based teaching strategies to enhance clinical learning experiences.

Evaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and document progress.

Collaborate with CSON faculty and clinical partners to ensure alignment with course and program objectives and accreditation standards.

Serve as a mentor and role model for students, demonstrating professional excellence and ethical practice.

Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices, trends in nursing education, and healthcare innovations.

Employment Details:

Position: Part-time clinical faculty.

Schedule: Semester-based scheduling, aligned with clinical and programmatic needs.

Location: Clinical sites in the Boston metropolitan area and across Massachusetts, with on-campus orientation and occasional on-campus meetings and teaching requirements.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Nursing (required); Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in Nursing (preferred).

Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain one.

A minimum of two years of full-time clinical experience in nursing in one or more of the listed specialty areas.

Previous teaching or precepting experience working with diverse student populations in various healthcare settings (preferred).

Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Certification in a nursing specialty relevant to the teaching area (preferred).
