Position Details:
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) at Indiana State University is seeking a dedicated IT Repair and Deployment Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and timely delivery of computer services across the university. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining and improving our IT infrastructure.

As an IT Repair and Deployment Specialist, you will monitor requests for computers and track the process to ensure timely service delivery. You will collaborate with student technicians to image and deploy computers, ensuring the process operates smoothly and efficiently. When issues arise, you will escalate them to Desktop Support Tier 3 for resolution or improvement. You will work closely with customers and Area Consultants to address problems and implement improvements.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of relevant experience.

Job Summary:
Ensures the successful and timely deployment of computers to faculty and staff, both new and re-issued. This includes the acquisition, setup, maintenance, and deployment processes. The technician is responsible for troubleshooting and handling software and hardware repairs of devices. They work with technical staff to approve new computer models and maintain vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of new products. The technician also orders products as needed to keep in-house stock at appropriate levels. Additionally, they supervise and work with student technicians in imaging, setting up, and deploying computers to campus offices. Gathering feedback from customers and Area Consultants to improve processes is also a key part of the role.
