Job Description:
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Dean, the Development Manager contributes to the school and CityU by ensuring the success of partnerships and new initiatives, which may include new program development, partnership management, grants, and program execution. Partnerships may consist of local companies, national non-profits, and multinational organizations. Working with the Dean, the Development Manager helps set strategy and terms of partnerships, secures funding, sets a program plan, involves other essential partners, and executes the plan. The measurement of KPIs and outcomes will also be a vital part of the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists the Dean and Program Directors in forming new business partnerships and setting new strategic direction based upon those partnerships.
- Develops a project plan to implement the new strategies, using PMI elements and principles.
- Implements the project plan, measuring impact with defined KPIs.
- Manages stakeholders for the initiative in conjunction with the Dean.
- Involves key individuals and teams within CityU to design, develop, and implement the initiatives.
- Manages other external partners who may be involved in the initiatives.
- Prepares updates to ensure progress is tracked and communicated.
- Tracks KPIs, being proactive and data-driven to mitigate issues and drive continuous improvement.
- As needed, writes grants to find funding for the newly defined initiatives, working with others at CityU who have grant-writing expertise.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years corporate working experience, preferably in the Puget Sound region.
- Minimum of 5 years of project/program management experience.
- Minimum of 2 years working with senior-level stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work cross-sector, including higher education, government, private sector, and non-profit organizations.
- Grant writing experience is desired.
- Ability to lead and manage in a creative and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work comfortably with and manage virtual teams.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Must relate to and communicate with diverse students, faculty, staff, and external communities.
- Ability to present a professional image on behalf of the academic school and CityU.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems in support of quality teaching and learning.

Salary information:
$90,000 -- 110,000/year
