Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Partner Development Specialist will lead outreach efforts to establish new corporate partnerships utilizing their existing network, and other relationship-building methods such as cold calling, digital methods, face-to-face, networking, etc. Working with the Director of Enrollment and Persistence, the Specialist plans, coordinates, and implements outreach strategies and activities, aiming at generating partnerships and enrolling students. The Specialist will represent City University of Seattle to external constituents, including businesses of technology and other industries, military organizations, healthcare organizations, trade organizations, non-profit organizations, and professional organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead corporate outreach and business development activities for the University.
  • Collaborate with University leadership to identify potential partnership opportunities.
  • Conduct information sessions for potential corporate partners.
  • Participate in client-sponsored events and activities.
  • Attend networking events to develop industry contacts.
  • Generate Request for Information forms (RFIs) from partner members during outreach activities.
  • Work closely with designated enrollment advisors on the enrollment process of prospective students generated.
  • Provide routine updates to leadership on outreach and partnership activities.
  • Follow procedures to document files and record data properly.
  • Drive corporate outreach and business development activities to strengthen the University's professional presence.
  • Ensure successful lead generation and outreach and partnership goals are met.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.   • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields, or equivalent combination of education and experiences.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in business or partner development, preferably in the technology industry.
  • Possesses established business/industry contacts and networks. Knowledge of Puget Sound area business environment.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong presentation and networking skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Must feel comfortable in a team-oriented, collaborative work environment.
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management software systems.
  • A valid driver's license. Able to travel locally.
  • Knowledge/experiences of higher education are a plus. Knowledge of CityU and its programs is a plus.
  • Military experience (including military spouses) and experience building relationships within the United States military is a plus.

  • Work is generally performed indoors in an open office setting.
  • Some evening and weekend hours may be required in this position.
  • Local travel is required frequently. Regional travel may also be necessary on occasion

Salary information:

$75,000 -- $80,000/year DOE
