Summary of Position
The Coordinator - Academic Affairs serves as the primary liaison between high school, school district, and college instructional and administrative partners, overseeing the delivery of college-level courses in high school environments. This role involves coordinating curriculum alignment between high schools and college departments, facilitating course requests and schedules, and supporting faculty evaluation and data processing tasks. The Coordinator is responsible for managing the hiring and credentialing process for high school teachers as college instructors, ensuring they meet academic standards and receive proper training and support. Additionally, the coordinator will provide academic and administrative support to the CE Director, college Department Chairs, Academic Deans and a significantly large number of qualified high school instructors. courses.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment between high school and college curricula. Strong organizational abilities are essential to coordinate hiring, faculty evaluations, and scheduling processes. Additionally, a deep understanding of educational technology and data management is crucial to assist with faculty hiring, credentialing, and support. The candidate should demonstrate leadership in fostering partnerships and promoting collaboration across academic and community networks.
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Work is generally performed in a standard office environment. Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. May require hours outside of regular office hours. May require work at both campuses. May require travel between campuses. May require travel to high schools and school district offices.

Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Effective communication skills including the ability to present information to groups and in public settings and to give and receive conceptual or emotionally charged information.
- Effective time management, organization, and planning skills.
- Proficiency in reviewing documents, forms, or data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with standards or guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Adobe products including the ability to merge documents, build formulas in Excel, and create rules in Outlook.
- Knowledge of and/or ability to learn Higher Learning Commission (HLC) credentialing requirements.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of experience and/or education.
- Experience in a K-12, higher education, or closely related environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Communication or Education
- Two (2) years of experience in dual enrollment, concurrent enrollment, high school teaching, or K-12 administration

- This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.
- The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
