Premier Physician Network (PPN) and Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine (BSOM) are seeking a full-time faculty physician specializing in Infectious Disease. This position offers a unique opportunity to join a collaborative team that blends academic medicine with clinical practice across Dayton and the surrounding region. As a faculty member, you will play an integral role in educating and training medical students, residents, and fellows, while providing care to a diverse patient population in a variety of clinical settings.

Job Description:

PPN and BSOM’s Infectious Disease division seeks an academically-minded faculty member to join the core faculty team with duties including:

  • Participating in didactic teaching, journal clubs, clinical case conferences, and other teaching assignments for residents and medical students, as assigned by and in collaboration with the department and BSOM’s academic leadership.
  • Contributing to the division’s clinical/patient care, research, and teaching missions.
  • Clinical teaching, supervision, and patient care on the division’s services, including a combination of contributions to the inpatient teaching service, Miami Valley Infection Specialists clinics; working with a large outpatient HIV population, other infectious diseases including but not limited to:
        • Antibiotic therapy supervision
        • Complicated wound care
        • Hepatitis B
        • Hepatitis C
        • Chronic urinary tract infections
        • HIV
        • Lyme Disease
  • Regular outpatient clinical practice.
  • APP collaboration for both Inpatient and Outpatient clinical practice

Job Requirements:

Prior to the effective date of appointment*, successful candidates must have:

  • American Trained, US Citizen or Permanent Resident Status
  • MD, DO or MBBS degree.
  • Completed Internal Medicine residency.
  • Completed Infectious Disease fellowship.
  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease (or Board-Eligible**)
  • Ohio Medical License
  • Federally-issued DEA License
