Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Manage the repair and maintenance of the fitness equipment for the assigned facilities, including computer diagnostics.

  2. Maintain indoor and outdoor pools' aquatic operation and water chemistry, including addressing any chemical or mechanical issues, malfunctions, or failures.

  3. To ensure clean and well-maintained facilities and equipment, assist in regularly monitoring and upkeep the assigned facilities, including the disc golf course, tennis courts, and sand volleyball courts.

  4. Work a rotating on-call schedule for after-hour emergencies to include weekends.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Fitness Equipment Certification(s) must be obtained within six (6) months

  • Certified Pool Operator or equivalent must be obtained within six (6) months

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

  • Previous pool maintenance experience

Job Summary

Assists in the performance of general, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing maintenance tasks. Complies with established safety guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Performs all general, preventative, and supportive maintenance tasks with supervision
2. Assists all technicians on emergency and corrective maintenance
3. Change light bulbs, filters, and other items assigned
4. Maintains and cleans mechanical rooms
5. Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent

Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid, and unrestricted driver's license

Required Experience
Previous related maintenance experience

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications
Undergraduate or Advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $19.60 to $26.97 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience.

ABILITIES
Able to build upon existing knowledge in the technical application of maintenance work
Able to adapt to changing work environments
Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools

SKILLS
Proficient in basic plumbing skills, including installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes, valves, and fixtures and effectively troubleshooting issues like leaks, clogs, and malfunctions.
Skilled in basic electrical repairs, including replacing lamps, drivers, ballasts, outlets, and switches, with a foundational understanding of electrical systems and circuits.
Proficient in basic HVAC preventative maintenance
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
