Senior Coordinator for Student Conduct

Position Summary
The Senior Coordinator for Student Conduct is an integral part of the Office of Student Conduct and reports to the Assistant Director for Student Conduct-University Housing. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring proper review and resolution of student misconduct cases that originate within University Housing. Additionally, this position will oversee educational programs offered by the OSC, specifically the Georgia Resiliency and Integrity Training (GRIT) and Community Engagement Reflection (CER). In collaboration with University Judiciary student leaders, this position will plan, implement, and facilitate the OSC’s educational programs in support of student learning, belonging, and the Division of Student Affairs’ Wellbeing Initiative.

Job Duties/Responsibilities
60% | General Administrative and University Housing
- Receive and conduct prompt reviews of reports of alleged student misconduct and determine appropriate response and resolution to conduct matters, including no action, informal resolution or formal resolution and work with students toward appropriate resolution, up to and including separation from the University.
- Serve as the primary hearing officer for student conduct cases originating in University Housing, analyzing student misconduct in the residence halls and responding to behavior by fully utilizing the resources of the Office of Student Conduct, University Police, and University Housing.
- Partner with the Assistant Director for Student Conduct-University Housing to plan and facilitate ongoing training programs for University Housing staff related to the adjudication of student conduct and community guide issues, with training covering such topics as university policies outlined in the Code of Conduct and University Housing’s Community Guide, report writing, due process and conduct process procedures in case adjudication.
40% | Office Initiatives
- Assist with the management of the administrative aspects of the Georgia Resiliency and Integrity Training (GRIT) program within the OSC, focusing on program design, structure, and facilitation.
- Collaborate with University Judiciary to oversee the recruitment, training, and assignment of University Judiciary students in their role as GRIT peer mentors.
- Assist in the facilitation of the OSC’s Community Engagement Reflection (CER) and assess, as needed, student learning associated with this program.
- Gather data and other assessment information surrounding resiliency-related student learning for both the GRIT workshop and the follow-up meeting component.
- Create detailed departmental assessment reports for GRIT to assist with determining the overall effectiveness of the program in relation to the Division of Student Affairs’ Wellbeing Initiative.
- Assist the Director for Student Conduct in outreach/education regarding the student conduct process, including presentations at UGA student orientation sessions and in the residence halls
- Complete administrative job functions in a timely, thorough and acceptable manner in accordance with established expectations.
