Summary
The successful candidate for this full-time, tenure track Assistant Professor, Nursing Science/Clinical Practice position will be responsible for teaching in all nursing programs as needed (ADN, LVN, CNA). Additional training and approval in specific contact areas may be required (Pediatrics, OB, Med/Surg, Psychiatric Nursing, and Simulation). Candidate should be willing to train in these areas as needed. College of the Redwoods is committed to helping candidates update their areas of expertise in the specialty areas who hold the necessary general nursing education/experience qualifications. Teaching assignments may include evening and weekend clinical hours. This is a full-time 10-month commitment per year. This position will get paid over 12 months that also includes a winter break and spring break.
Anticipated start date for this position is Fall 2025.

Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience in a pre-licensure nursing program.
- One-year direct patient care in Psych and/or Med/surg in the past 3 years.
- Experience with course learning management software.
- Course development experience.
- Master's degree preferred but not required.
Education and Experience
Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience, one year of direct patient care within the last 3 years, current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of California.

Salary: $69,660 - $99,963/Annually (Salary range, based on education, continues to a maximum of $156,613/Annually)

Conditions of Employment
Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful clearance of a criminal background check, freedom from tuberculosis, and proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States prior to the first day of work. College of the Redwoods Faculty Organization is the exclusive bargaining representative for College of the Redwoods faculty employees. Each employee hired into a faculty position shall contribute to the administration of this contract by membership dues or service fees.
Initial salary placement is determined by education and teaching/professional experience. Refer to the CRFO Collective Bargaining Agreement for specific details on salary placement.
