(Primary Location for Assigned Duties) Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Supports the review and processing of experiential learning requests for academic credit. Provides administrative support to department leaders. Directly supports faculty and student inquiries regarding experiential learning (internships, co-ops, etc.) such as explaining the process of receiving academic credit for experiential learning from start to finish. Manages the approval flow of experiential learning documents that lead to the student enrolling in experiential learning courses. Contributes to the team leading the department's responsibilities in experiential learning activities. Assists with the analysis of experiential learning engagement, and reports results.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: -
1. Utilizes Handshake, Banner, Owl Express, and/or other relevant programs to process academic credit requests for internships, co-ops, and other experiential learning experiences
2. Presents to classes regarding the impact of experiential learning on career trajectory and academic credit process
3. Liaises with career and internship staff on eligibility, criteria, and opportunities for major-specific experiential learning
4. Communicates efficiently and effectively with students, faculty, and staff regarding internships, co-ops, and other experiential learning experiences, particularly focusing on attaining academic credit
5. Collaborates with work-based learning and development leaders to review data on current experiential learning engagement and suggest strategies to increase engagement
6. Collaborates with the employer relations team to ensure seamless communication among employers with whom the department works with
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Required Experience
Two (2) years of experience in administrative, customer service and/or related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Handshake, Banner, Degree Works, Owl Express or other higher education student information systems
Preferred Educational Qualifications
An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field
