Job DescriptionThe Cash Services Associate manages
the daily operational and accounting activities of Cash Services; and reviews
and verifies the deposit of University funds and ensures the appropriate
PeopleSoft Financials values are used which requires an understanding of the
chart of account design and request of new accounts when necessary. This position also provides direction and
support to departments throughout the University regarding cash management and
use of proper chartfields and accounting. The Cash Services Associate oversees on hand cash processes and
procedures, and functions as the system administrator for the Transact
applications and works with other University departments to design and
implement payment solutions. Additional responsibilities will include year end
reconciliations and assisting with other general accounting activities throughout
the year.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $63,800 to $79,750; salary commensurate with relevant experience.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
required. - 3-5 years progressively responsible cash management and banking
experience. - Experience with automated
accounting systems, preferably PeopleSoft. - Understanding of cash controls and banking processes.
- Highly organized, detailed oriented, and exhibits effective
prioritization and time management. - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong statistical, analytical, written and verbal
communication skills. - Demonstrates knowledge of generally accepted accounting
principles (GAAP) and accounting concepts. - Ability to interact with other functional areas and staff at
all levels. - Ability to lead projects as required.
