Summary of Position

The Student Affairs Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative and programmatic support to the Dean of Enrollment Management & Student Success and the Dean of Students. The Student Affairs Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in managing the student conduct and intervention process, handling a caseload from various referral sources such as reporting processes, the Dean of Students, and the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT). Responsibilities include contacting students, scheduling meetings, creating and managing student correspondence, and maintaining case records in compliance with BIT protocols. The coordinator also educates the campus community on the conduct process and serves as a point of contact for faculty and staff regarding students in distress, promoting visibility of support services.

In addition to student conduct support, the coordinator manages administrative tasks and serves as primary point of contact for the Dean of Students and the Dean of Enrollment, including scheduling meetings, coordinating events, and addressing inquiries. They handle budget management for the Deans, process requisitions, reconcile small purchases, and support travel arrangements. Responsible for completing and reconciling small purchases with institution-issued credit card (P-Card) The coordinator ensures accurate documentation, identifies process improvements, and maintains a high level of customer service in all interactions.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Advanced computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in BANNER, word processing, spreadsheet and maintenance, email, and web applications.
  • Experience using data systems such as Customer Relations Management (CRM) platforms, project/Issue/Workflow Management software, or similar solutions.
  • Ability to interpret and apply administrative policies, regulations and rules.
  • Ability to compose correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to manage organizational budgets and expenditures
  • Interpersonal skills required to build effective working relationships
  • Written communication skills that produce organized, logical, focused, coherent and correct content.
  • Ability to explain and present data, including statistics, in a generally understandable manner
  • An understanding of higher education analytics
  • Demonstrated knowledge of higher education functions, policies, and procedures
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
Substitution: Associate degree plus two years of related experience in addition to required experience.
  • Two (2) years full-time or equivalent part-time higher education student development, student affairs or related work experience in an educational setting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) or more years' full-time or equivalent part-time higher education data analysis, student development, student affairs or related work experience in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrated data analysis experience, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, or data base management.
  • Demonstrated experience making sound fiscal decisions
  • Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse communities and supporting individuals from diverse populations, which may include but are not limited to, racial, ethnic, and gender backgrounds that are underrepresented.
