A postdoctoral fellow position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Haijiang Cai in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Arizona. The research of the lab focuses on the neural circuits and mouse behaviors, with a current focus on eating and anxiety behaviors, using optogenetics, in vivo microendscope calcium imaging, molecular and electrophysiological tools. Duties & Responsibilities
Duties:
- Perform
independent and collaborative research projects on the neural circuits of
mouse behaviors, using molecular, histology, optogenetics, in vivo microendoscope
calcium imaging, and chemogenetics tools. - Analyze
and interpret data, write manuscripts. - Help
supervise and train undergraduate students or other lab members.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to be highly self-motivated with a record of productivity .
- Able to learn new techniques.
Minimum Qualifications
- A
Ph.D. in Neuroscience or related field. The selected candidate must have a
conferred Ph.D. upon hire. - Demonstrated
experience in in vivo miniaturized microendoscope imaging.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses.
