The Opportunity:
The Director of Integrated Enrollment Services (IES) leads a unit responsible for processing, automation, data integrity, and timely accuracy of critical data-including enrollment, donor, lead, and prospect information-at Unity Environmental University. This role provides strategic leadership for data collection, planning, and assessment to support institutional goals and compliance requirements. The Director ensures secure and accurate access to this information, aligning all processes with institutional priorities, and oversees the Integrated Enrollment Services Catalog and the execution of services listed within it.
Additionally, the Director is accountable for the training, use, and control of recipient lists within Account Engagement in Stratus for IES tasks, ensuring targeted and compliant communications. This includes creating best practices, recipient list accuracy and security, and regular audits to uphold data governance standards. Reporting to the Chief Organizational Effectiveness Officer, this position is integral to promoting efficiency, consistency, and excellence in information management and enrollment services.
Day to day responsibilities:
Location: Pineland Farms, New Gloucester, Maine
Just a half hour from Portland, Unity Environmental University Headquarters, Unity Environmental University Distance Education, The Technical School for Environmental Professions, and the School of Environmental Business & Sustainable Ventures are based at the Pineland Farms campus. The facilities are within easy access to one of the fastest-growing cities for startups in the country.
Work Schedule:
Work hours are specific to the requirements of this position and can include days, evenings, weekends. Working extended hours may be required as needed and Unity Environmental University employees must be flexible and cooperative in fulfilling their responsibilities while meeting the University's needs.
Although at Unity Environmental University Enterprise employees are generally scheduled to work at their base location, there are times when travel is necessary and employees are required from time to time to attend events, meetings or work temporary assignment at any Unity Environmental University location.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, it is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The use of either hand for repetitive movements such as grasping, grasping, and turning, and fine manipulation is required as is the ability to use the telephone for internal and external communications.

Day to day responsibilities:
- Provide overall supervision for IES staff, coordinating schedules and leading regular staff meetings.
- In collaboration with the Chief Organizational Effectiveness Officer, develop unit goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Monitor and proactively communicate unit challenges, successes, and process improvements with leadership.
- Oversee the management of mailing addresses, mailroom operations, and related data.
- Take a lead role in maintaining and updating the phone tree, ensuring accurate and consistent inbound and outbound communication channels.
- Support centralized communication flow to meet institutional standards.
- Serve as a database reference for multiple campus information systems, including CRM, IS, and donor software.
- Accountable for the training, use, and control of recipient lists within Account Engagement in Stratus, ensuring accurate, targeted, and policy-aligned communications.
- Work with institutional data input teams to improve data collection and integrity within these systems.
- Oversee and ensure data integrity, performing regular audits and corrections as needed to meet state, federal, and institutional requirements.
- Develop and document business processes for collecting and linking data from various sources, including internal systems, state/federal agencies, and external organizations, to support institutional research and reporting.
- Ensure all business processes are documented, current, and optimized for efficiency and integration. Implement and modify processes to enhance unit goals and increase operational effectiveness.
- Oversee the maintenance of segmented communication plans and ensure updates are implemented as needed
- Manage and update the Integrated Enrollment Services Catalog, obtaining necessary approvals from the Chief Organizational Effectiveness Officer. Maintain an active and dynamic production calendar to ensure timely services.
- Regularly assess and address the training and professional development needs of staff, ensuring they remain competent and current in relevant skills. Responsible for the work quality and results of all IES employees, ensuring delivery of high-quality, constituent-oriented services.
- Monitor information flow and address any backlog to maintain established time frame standards. Support institutional planning, accreditation, evaluation, and assessment activities.
- Oversee inbound and outbound phone communications to ensure effective centralized services.
- Maintain personal and team competency through professional reading, networking, and training. Ensure that all activities and processes adhere to institutional policies, are documented, and align with best practices in the field.
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Bachelor's degree or higher.
- 5+ years in data-driven service operations, ideally in enrollment, client management, or a similar field, with 3+ years in a supervisory or management role over diverse teams.
- Proficiency in complex administrative data systems, data management, quality assurance, and standard office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong organizational, management, and project planning skills; attention to detail; ability to maintain accurate files and records.
- Experience managing budgets, as well as developing and implementing operating policies and procedures.
- Ability to thrive in a continually changing environment, proactively determine best practices, and drive change.
- Competence in interpreting complex data with sensitivity to issues of recruitment and retention for a diverse audience.
- Strong communication skills, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
- Personal dedication to the environmental mission and values of the institution.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to support an outbound center with extended operating hours.
- Ability to operate effectively within a matrix structure, maintaining professionalism and collaborative relationships.
