Job Description

The Associate Director of
Financial Systems, Reporting and Planning
reports to the Director, Financial
Systems, eCommerce and Compliance and will lead an FMS team responsible for
systems maintenance and analysis, project management, financial applications
and reporting, and training. The
Associate Director will be responsible for overseeing the development,
procurement, implementation and maintenance of technology resources as well as
policies and procedures within the Finance operations with the principle
objective of improving administrative and business operations by providing
greater efficiency through the use of technology. The position will also provide direction and
guidance on the design, development and maintenance of PeopleSoft Financials
reports and queries, system integration, close processes and will assist with developing
and executing a PeopleSoft financial reporting strategy.

The
Associate Director will work with the FMS staff to ensure financial systems are
secure, access is authorized, and data is reliable, including standards to
ensure the integrity of information electronically transferred from other
University systems. Will also act as
liaison and partner with Information Technology Systems and other Finance departments
for financial systems development and to assess needs and identify solutions to
ensure efficiency. The Associate
Director will oversee project management initiatives which include on-going
process improvements, functional support, assistance and maintenance for
PeopleSoft Financial Systems and support of other finance related systems. The position will also assist with the design
of financial systems learning, training, testing and applications design
projects, including planning, implementation and evaluation.

Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $127,250 to $159,050; salary commensurate with relevant experience.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in technology or
business-related field.

Experience: Seven to ten years of professional experience in
information technology.

Knowledge: Business process improvements, project
management and training.

Must possess a demonstrated career
record of success in financial systems management with ability to schedule and
identify resources to support day to day production operations and other
financial projects; interpret finance and business rule changes into any new
system changes; and prioritize projects with other concurrent initiatives.

Experience in the design, development,
and support of computerized information systems should be combined with an
ability to analyze business operations both strategically and from a
detail-oriented perspective. Exposure to
various IT networks, computing platforms, software applications, standards and
protocols, data administration and processing, interactive services and user
technical support preferable.
