Position Description
Provides manual and/or clerical services in related work area. Work may involve strenuous physical activity and/or exposure to the outdoors. Work is performed under general supervision and is evaluated through observation and results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions
Assisting patients and visitors to TTUHSC and all Texas Tech Physicians clinics by providing:
  • Information
  • Directions
  • Escorts
  • Transportation
  • Wheelchair Assistance
  • Valet Service
  • Courtesy Parking Shuttle/Assistance
The ideal candidate will exemplify the TTUHSC values of 'one team,' 'kindhearted,' 'integrity,' 'visionary.' and 'beyond service.'
  • You may be required to drive the Patient Shuttle (A valid current driver's license would be needed).
  • You will be on your feet for long periods of time.
  • You may walk up to 10 miles per day providing escorts inside the TTUHSC building and/or pushing adult patients in wheelchairs.
Occasional Duties
Assisting with other HSC special projects or initiatives when needed including special events, traffic flow, etc.

Required Qualifications
Completion of High School or the equivalent and two years experience. May require a valid driver's license, with good driving record.

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a health care setting and providing customer service, including two years of supervisory experience.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan website.

Pay Basis: Hourly

Schedule Details
Monday - Friday 7:30 - 5:30

Travel Required: Up to 25%
