The Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) works to bring in the next generation of Sooners. Our team operates from Norman as well as across the state, nation and world. We provide support to incoming domestic and international freshman and transfer students as they navigate the college application and decision process. Additionally, we partner with parents, counselors, and communities in providing resources to students interested in higher education. Our goal is to build a vibrant community with limitless potential by recruiting the most academically qualified students with a variety of educational, service, involvement and community experiences.

Responsibilities Include:
- Recruits, builds communication and advises for the Orientation and Pre-College Programs team.
- Designs and produces concurrent recruitment materials, attends recruitment fairs and assist with all-year Orientation programs provided to freshman, transfer, and concurrent students alike.
- Serves as a liaison between OAR, on campus colleges, faculty and information technology and other relevant local, regional, and national associations.
- Serves as a resource to guide prospective students about the concurrent admissions process and will facilitate and coordinate related application/enrollment/orientation processes of the college.
- Cultivate and build relationships with prospective concurrent students, families, high school counselors, and other key stakeholders across campus and the state of Oklahoma to recruit the best and brightest to OU concurrent enrollment.
- Serves as a resource to guide prospective concurrent students through the admissions process and will facilitate and coordinate related application processes of concurrent enrollment; reads concurrent applications, schedules admissions committee meetings, and prepares related documentation.
- Serves as the direct academic advisor, alongside another coordinator, for concurrent students each semester they are admitted and want to take coursework with OU.
- Co-manage the Summer Sooner Discovery program, a summer concurrent initiative, and help to oversee 5-6 Sooner Discovery current student guides.
- Serves as a student recruiter for concurrent enrollment; designs, produces and maintains recruitment literature; prepares and maintains college bulletins; responds to prospective student and applicant inquiries; represents the college at career fairs and guest lectures held at other universities; works with department chairs and faculty to coordinate recruitment fairs and academic advising sessions.
- Assists with New Sooner Orientation for first time freshman, transfer as well as concurrent students.
- This position will host bi-weekly concurrent orientation webinars beginning in Spring 2025 and will be required for admitted concurrent students to attend prior to enrollment.
- Sit on OAR's Early Outreach committee, helping to build communications, research, and create moments for concurrent students to engage with OU early in their college search process.
- Fully utilize and attain the proper training for the use of our CRM to communicate and proactively outreach to prospective concurrent students, families, and high school counselors. Additionally, with use of the CRM, build reports and queries to track the progress and ROI for concurrent.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Job Requirements

Required Education: Bachelor's degree, AND
- 12 months of related experience.
Equivalency Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 60 months of related experience.
Skills:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Computer skills, including proficiency in navigating and maintaining databases
- Some travel required for recruiting
- Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
- Highly organized and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to communicate well and build rapport with students, faculty and staff
- Ability to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations
- Customer service skills
Certifications:
- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire date.
