Position Description
Performs professional-level work at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center by conducting classes on a per-course or limited-term basis, without any guarantee of continuing employment. Responsibilities encompass the coordination and instruction of one or more courses within a prescribed curriculum. Teachers in this classification usually specialize in the academic subject, professional discipline, or technical skill being taught at the time of employment. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based upon results obtained. May supervise subordinate employees assigned to the area of responsibility.

Major/Essential Functions

This position will include lab and/or lecture instruction within the Therapeutic Exercise course, HPPT 810, in the DPT program in Odessa, TX.

Required Qualifications
  • A degree that is appropriate to the level of courses being taught
Preferred Qualifications
  • Licensed physical therapist; at least 5 years of clinical experience including extensive experience in therapeutic exercise;
  • Availability for scheduled teaching in the Spring semester (Wednesday afternoons from 1:00-5:00 and additional days as required);
  • Good communication skills
  • Organizational skills
Pay Statement
