Job Description: Dental Faculty Practice Billing & Insurance Coordinator

Join our dynamic team and take your career to the next level! As a Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our business office and supporting our patients with their insurance needs. Here's what you'll be doing:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Insurance Process Management

    • Manage relationship with our insurance billing partner.

    • Maintain communication with insurance provider representatives.

    • Receive and process checks and explanation of benefits from insurance companies ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

  • Billing and Collections

    • Manage collections staff and send accounts for collection agency referral and maintain relationship with collection agencies.

    • Process deposits, ensuring accuracy and correct processing of credit cards, cash, and checks.

* Posting personal checks that are mailed into the office

* Following up patients that have not paid in the office sending statements

* Check the status of Dental Insurance Claims

* Call on overdue accounts.

  • Financial Coordination

    • Act as the Lending Club coordinator, guiding patients through enrollment and fund requests, and managing communications for refunds.

    • Initiate patient refunds via credit card, ACH electronic, or paper check.

    • Assist with month-end processes by generating necessary reports.

  • Front Desk Support

    • Checkout each patient that has been seen in the clinic and collect any payment due.

    • Cover front desk duties when needed.

  • Miscellaneous

    • Perform other duties as assigned to support the clinic's overall success.

Minimum Qualifications

An Associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Anticipated Hiring Range

Anticipated starting range between $17.00 - $20.00 per hour.
