About Distance Education:
Distance Education provides an entirely asynchronous, online learning experience that adapts to the unique circumstances of each student. Our fully accredited bachelor's and master's degree programs, as well as non-degree credits, empower learners to shape their own educational journey. With 8 five-week terms for undergraduates and 5 eight-week terms for graduate students, our model offers unparalleled flexibility. You can learn at your own pace, and take breaks as needed. By using your everyday environment as your laboratory, you'll integrate your studies into your daily life. The Opportunity:
Unity Environmental University Distance Education is seeking enthusiastic individuals to teach Environmental Data Analytics courses for our online graduate degree programs. Courses are online and run for eight weeks in five terms for graduate programs.
Day to day responsibilities:
Unity Environmental University's Distance Education curriculum is 100% online. Our Distance Education Adjuncts will teach remotely and are required to reside within the United States for the entire duration of the academic term in which they are teaching. It is the responsibility of the adjunct to ensure that they are working in a state that aligns with the tax information reported to HR.

Unity Environmental University Distance Education is seeking enthusiastic individuals to teach Environmental Data Analytics courses for our online graduate degree programs. Courses are online and run for eight weeks in five terms for graduate programs.
Day to day responsibilities:
- This position is responsible for facilitating engagement in 8-week graduate-level courses in sustainability-related subjects, such as Introduction to Environmental Science and Data Analytics, Environmental Analysis: Atmosphere, Soil, and Water, Advanced Data Analytics in Environmental Science, and Big Data in Environmental Science.
- Courses are taught asynchronously with an average of 20 students per course.
- Instructors must meet expectations for timely feedback, engagement in Discussion Board tasks, and responsiveness to students.
- The ideal candidate will possess a master's degree or higher in Animal Behavior, Animal Husbandry, Animal Training and Care, Animal-assisted Therapy, or related discipline with ample experience in the profession
- Ability to efficiently operate a personal computer and associated software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately using e-mail and digital conferencing tools
- Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the college
- Experience teaching adult learners and/or teaching in an online context
- Experience using Canvas or other Learning Management System to facilitate learning
