Job Summary/Basic Function:

We are seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and organized recruiter to engage with high school students, parents, and regional industry partners to promote the Supply Chain Management (SCM) program at the Goddard School of Business & Economics at Weber State University. The primary goal of this role is to increase awareness of the major, drive enrollment and meet industry demand for our graduates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver outreach services to inform prospective students about the educational and career opportunities in Supply Chain Management at the Goddard School of Business & Economics.
  • Travel to high schools, businesses, community colleges, and industries primarily within Utah using personal vehicle (mileage will be reimbursed).
  • Be involved in planning and executing college and on-campus recruitment events (summer camp, high school case competition, major fairs).
  • Limited counseling of potential students through in-person interviews, phone calls and e-mails.
  • Represent the SCM program and Moyes Center for Supply Chain Excellence in announcing and publicly awarding scholarships at high schools.
  • Assist in the development of creative recruitment materials using various media and working closely with the SCM program to become knowledgeable about the major and career opportunities.
  • Manage a portion of the $25,000 marketing budget for increasing program awareness, and make decisions on spending.
  • Coordinate with other departments in the College and University including Marketing, Admissions, Public Relations, and University Communications.
Position Details:
  • Part-time role with a customizable schedule that meets personal preferences and requirements of the work. Position can be 9-months, 10-months, or 12-months with annual hours meeting the 50% requirement (1040 hours/year) to be discussed and finalized during the interview and hiring process.

Required Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelors Degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One year of related full or part-time experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet project outcomes with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Public speaking, sales, customer facing, or presentation experience.
  • Two to three years experience working with college or high school aged students.
  • Experience with social media marketing and outreach or event planning.

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of vision: Required to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; using a computer terminal; extensive reading., Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
