Job Summary

Scope
The Department of Criminal Justice, History & Political Science seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Political Science with a concentration in American Politics to begin in Fall 2025.
Principal Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate Political Science courses. Ohio Northern University faculty teach 23-25 credit hours per academic year. Additional responsibilities include advising undergraduate students, scholarship and supervising undergraduate research, and service. Required Skills
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate courses in political science, public administration, and/or policy analysis or with experience mentoring undergraduate research are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications
A Ph.D. in Political Science is required. An ABD will be considered if all degree requirements are completed before September 1, 2025.
