This is a job announcement for specific part-time instructor needs in the Marketing program at Utah Tech University but maybe ongoing. The department specifically needs instructors to teach courses in any of the following areas:
MKTG 3010 - Principles of Marketing
MKTG 3450 - Consumer Behavior
MKTG 3515 - Sales Management
MKTG 3900 - Retail Management
MKTG 4300 - International Marketing
Classes are 3-credits and can be taught online or in person. Note: online instructors must reside in one of the following states: UT, NV, ID, AZ, TX, or FL . Responsibilities
POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Part-time instructor position, paid at $900 per credit hour and governed by University Policies 631 and 638. Spring Semester begins on Monday, January 6, 2025.

Responsibilities
- Teach courses as assigned under the direction of the Dean/Department Chair/Program Director.
- Hold office hours and meet with students enrolled in assigned courses.
- Attend and/or complete required trainings by the University (usually assigned in your first semester teaching, then annually there after), as well as completing any additional trainings, as needed and determined by the department.
- Abide by all applicable executive orders, federal, state, and local laws, rules and regulations, as well as University policies and procedures relating to part-time instructors and general campus employment.
- Master's Degree in Marketing, International Marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge of course content required.
- Professional experience related to the course topic.
- Ability to communicate with diverse groups.
- Ability to use student-centered instructional strategies and techniques.
- Ability to motivate students and competently evaluate student progress and achievement.
- Teaching experience in higher education preferred.
- Experience with Canvas Learning Management System preferred.
