Position Details:
Indiana State University's Office of Information Technology has an immediate opening for a Linux Systems Integrator with in-depth knowledge and experience supporting enterprise class server operating systems and/or cloud hosting environments, virtualization hypervisors, basic TCP/IP networking, disk subsystem and storage technologies such as Fiber Channel, Fiber Channel over Ethernet, and iSCSI. This exciting position works with a team of dedicated, customer focused professionals to provide reliable, high performing, and secure server systems for the University. In addition to working with contemporary Linux systems in a fast paced environment, this position offers a great benefits package including employer retirement contribution, dependent tuition assistance and access to the university health/recreation center.

The person in this position designs and develops advanced hardware and software environments in the ISU Technology Infrastructure Services unit, provides project leadership and technical assistance in the implementation of complex information systems and daily maintenance of such systems.


Required Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or other appropriate technical discipline and 1-2 years of working with server operating systems and/or cloud hosting environments, virtualization hypervisors, basic TCP/IP networking, disk subsystem and storage technologies such as Fiber Channel, Fiber Channel over Ethernet, and iSCS.
