To add to our esteemed faculty, we are currently seeking an Assistant Professor School &/or Clinical Child Psychology at our New York City (lower Manhattan) campus.

Position Summary:

Dyson College of Arts and Sciences of Pace University invites applications for an anticipated position at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure track) in the Department of Psychology, to begin September 1, 2025.

The Department offers five graduate programs (PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology, PhD in School Psychology, PhD in Clinical Psychology: Health Emphasis, MSEd in School Psychology, and MA in Psychology), two undergraduate programs (BA in Psychology and BA in Applied Psychology and Human Relations), and a combined BA/MA program. The PsyD program is accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA) as a combined professional-scientific psychology program and also approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). 

This position involves primarily teaching courses in the PsyD in School-Clinical Child Psychology Program, with opportunities to be involved in the PhD School Psychology Program &/or PhD Clinical Psychology (Health Emphasis) program. Limited opportunities for teaching at the master's or undergraduate level may be available. 

The successful candidate will also be expected to develop a strong research program that involves students and could qualify for an extramural grant or contract funding. Experience in evidence-based practice is a plus. A commitment to ethical guidelines, social justice, equity, and supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds in the field of psychology is fundamental. We encourage applicants who have worked with a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students and who can contribute to a climate of inclusivity in the Department and university across their research, teaching, and service. Candidates with research areas focused on and/or records of service aimed at supporting populations that experience marginalization/stigmatization are particularly desirable. We are seeking candidates with expertise in applying evidenced-based therapeutic interventions with children and adolescents with behavioral, emotional, and/or learning difficulties in their respective systems.

The successful candidate must have an earned PhD or PsyD in School Psychology, Clinical Psychology (child/adolescent focused), or a combined degree from an APA-accredited training program and must be licensed in New York State (or be eligible for licensure).
