Job Summary

Supervises assigned area within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Responsible for interpreting, analyzing, and evaluating documents and performing processes in compliance with Board of Regents (BOR) and University policies & procedures. Responsible for training and supervision of a team processors.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for the supervision and training of assigned departmental staff
2. Monitors admission application, document and imaging workflows and volume for the Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid and Registrar, addressing any concerns
3. Uses student information systems, related software and databases to process documents and data related to students' enrollment
4. Facilitates assigned projects and/or workgroups in collaboration with other office and/or campus leadership
5. Tests databases in response to software upgrades and new program implementations
6. Runs and evaluates various reports for processing and/or verification of data integrity
7. Assists with new student orientations, processing and verifying documents, when needed
8. Collaborates with the team to propose ideas and solutions for operational progress
9. Attends departmental, divisional and campus level meetings and presentations as assigned
10. Communicates with or oversees communications with applicants, students, faculty, staff, and those external to Kennesaw State University
11. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, NCAA, USG, and Kennesaw State rules and regulations
12. Provides supervision and decision management in absence of Director and Associate Director

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education in related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Required Experience
Three (3) years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Familiarity with University System of Georgia and Kennesaw State University guidelines

Previous supervisory experience

Prior experience working in a post-secondary educational environment

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $42,840 to $44,900. Offers are based on relevant experience.

Working knowledge of and abides by the regulations of the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Office products, BANNER, NolijWeb, DegreeWorks, CRM, Intelligent Capture, SharePoint, as well as the following software: Statistical Analysis, Enterprise Guide, XAP Application Software, Georgia Futures, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
