Grace College invites applications and nominations for the full-time position of Assistant/ Associate Professor of Accounting. Responsibilities include teaching 24 credit hours per year, advising 30+ accounting/business majors, department and college service, scholarly activity, and professional development.
The School of Business offers degrees in accounting, business administration, business education, entrepreneurial management, finance (financial planning, financial analyst), facility & event management, management (HR, Supply Chain, and Project), management of information systems, marketing (digital and sales), sport business, sport management (sport media), and an MBA. The School of Business seeks a faculty member who holds views consistent with those of the institution, which include the institution's doctrinal commitments, called the Covenant of Faith. A successful candidate will complement the contributions of its existing faculty and desire to help the school grow.
Grace College is a Christ-centered Liberal Arts College informed by pietist and evangelical traditions. Located in the resort community of Winona Lake, near Warsaw, Indiana (36 miles west of Ft. Qualifications:
- Education requirement: CPA and PhD or DBA in Accountancy or CPA and MBA or CPA and master's in accountancy or taxation.
- At least 5 years of work experience in an accounting field with preference given to those with 10+ years of accounting experience combined with management experience. A combination of public accounting and corporate/NFP accounting experience is acceptable.
- College-level teaching experience preferred but full-time teaching experience is not necessary. Preference given to experience teaching accounting courses at a Christian college/university.
- Desire and ability to connect with accounting students outside of class time is essential.
- Strong commitment to integration of biblical values and learning while teaching accounting.
- Commitment to the mission and values of a Christian institution which values the centrality of Jesus Christ and the authority of the Bible in the purpose and life of the institution.
