Senior Accountant
Dominican University New York seeks a qualified full-time Senior Accountant. This is a highly visible position that will work with many departments across the University. The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and associated reconciliations. This process includes creating General Ledger entries of all types. Other specific analysis includes fixed assets, department expenditures, scholarship reconciliations, etc. This position acts as a backup to the Controller in the areas of banking and general ledger system management. The Senior Accountant will also assist the Controller in the preparation of the annual financial audit and other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working in an accounting capacity. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products with expertise in Excel is required. Experience with Jenzabar software and not-for-profit accounting desirable.
