Job Summary:
The Public Service Institute (PSI) at Calumet College of St. Joseph offers graduate programs in Public Services and Administration (http://www.ccsj.edu/psi/).
The Director of Indiana Enrollment Outreach is responsible for developing and building on public sector relationships to recruit, enroll and retain Indiana-resident students in PSI programs. The ideal candidate is a data-driven leader with excellent communication skills, experience in higher education, and a passion for promoting academic opportunities at the graduate level. This position is grant-funded through September 2029.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement interdependent short-, medium-, and long-term marketing and communications projects that support and achieve enrollment goals and priorities
- Develop relationships with area law enforcement agencies, employers and public service providers that result in formal pathways of education for prospective students and employment opportunities for recent graduates.
- Expand recruiting to new areas and new groups to meet increased competition
- Cultivate relationships with key internal stakeholders to inspire a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation
- Engage with faculty and staff to develop messaging that resonates with target audiences and incorporates enrollment objectives into broader communications and marketing activities, talking points, presentations, reports, social media efforts, and other channels.
- Assist in development of recruitment strategies to generate applications and inquiries from students looking to complete their degree or enroll in a masters program
- Use insights to continuously refine outreach strategies and improve student engagement.
- Conduct consistent reach via email, text and phone calls to prospective students and law enforcement agencies
- Report on metrics, success stories, and areas for improvement to leadership regularly.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to accomplish detail-oriented tasks
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated self-starter
- Skilled in using Microsoft applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Prior experience in a collegiate setting
