Job Description
The ETS-SE Director is committed to expanding support for low-income and first-generation students at designated schools throughout southeast Idaho to help them obtain a high school diploma and transition into post-secondary education programs. Program services include academic advising, tutoring, and mentoring; college, career, and financial aid awareness activities; college and career field trips; and individual assistance with college admissions, scholarship applications, and financial aid forms.
The Director oversees the development and delivery of recruitment and service delivery plans that meet the needs of ETS-SE participants and ensures that annual goals for the program are met.
Key Responsibilities
Provide overall program leadership to ensure that program goals and objectives are met
Oversee hiring and employment processes, student recruitment and eligibility, budget management and compliance, and recordkeeping
Train and supervise full- and part-time staff
Build and maintain internal and external partnerships to assist in meeting grant objectives
Attend community and partner events to promote program visibility
Coordinate with staff in other TRIO programs to ensure program compliance and maximize student success
Ensure program adherence to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures
Oversee the compilation and submission of reports on program status and performance, including the Annual Performance Report (APR)
Develop and manage continuous evaluation plan and implement adjustments as needed
Communicate regularly and promptly with the U.S. Department of Education regarding
program status and compliance
Engage in relevant professional development activities
Assist in writing future ETS-SE grant proposals to maintain funding
Complete other duties as assigned to ensure the delivery of high quality services and the achievement of program objectives
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in relevant field
Three years working with historically under-represented population(s)
Experience with federal grant programs (administration and reporting requirements)
Experience with monitoring and/or assisting in daily operations for an education, support, or access program
Excellent communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a TRIO program
Experience with planning and implementing programs aimed at supporting high school graduation and/or post-secondary placement
Experience with federal grant budget management
Experience with federal grant writing
Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English
Additional Information
