Position Highlights
This position will assist County Extension & the Community Outreach Professional in the development and presentation of a nutrition and physical activity program for children, families, and seniors. This position will work directly with these individuals as well as community site directors and leaders. There will be travel involved and a flexible work schedule will be required. This position will work in Apache County, including the Navajo Nation. Duties & Responsibilities
* Assists in development and presentation of subject matter in nutrition, gardening and physical activity for SNAP eligible participants through workshops, training sessions, and community events.
* Assists and/or organizes, promotes, coordinates and conducts nutrition, physical education and gardening programs in Southern Apache County, including the Navajo Nation Tribal lands. Answers inquiries and provides information relating to completion of forms, meetings, materials, record keeping, composing newsletters, preparing reports and other related functions to conduct the nutrition education program for communities.
* Initiates and participates in needs assessments for nutrition, physical and gardening activities.
Minimum Qualifications
- *High school diploma or high school diploma equivalency is required.
- *Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required.
- *Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy and reliable transportation upon employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment, is preferred.

Notice of Availability of the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report
In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), each year the University of Arizona releases an Annual Security Report (ASR) for each of the University's campuses. These reports disclose information including Clery crime statistics for the previous three calendar years and policies, procedures, and programs the University uses to keep students and employees safe, including how to report crimes or other emergencies and resources for crime victims. As a campus with residential housing facilities, the Main Campus ASR also includes a combined Annual Fire Safety report with information on fire statistics and fire safety systems, policies, and procedures.
