Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

The Department of Ecology, Evolution and Organismal Biology (EEOB) has a strong commitment to ensuring all members of our community feel like they belong at Kennesaw State University. EEOB serves over 2,000 undergraduate majors earning the Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and over 100 majors in Environmental Science. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a one-semester (Spring), full-time, non-tenure track, Limited Term Instructor of Biology faculty position in the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology with a preferred start date of January 2025. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate courses in the area of general biology, or area of specialization.
  • The main responsibility of this position will be to teach General Biology II (BIOL 1108).
  • Other teaching responsibilities may include other undergraduate biology or environmental science courses as needed by the department.
  • Duties may include teaching evenings, online or in a hybrid format.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Biology or a closely related discipline is required.
OR
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success using evidence-based teaching practices at the university level.
  • A record of teaching organismal biology, evolutionary biology, and/or ecology,
  • Experience mentoring undergraduate students.
  • Willingness to teach face-to-face, on-line or hybrid modalities.
  • Experience teaching on-line or hybrid courses.
