Our place-based culture of experiential learning is rooted in rural Vermont and broadened by CityLAB:Berlin, a satellite campus of Norwich University in Berlin, Germany. The College also includes schools of business; cybersecurity and advanced computing; engineering; and nursing. Experiential learning is a foundation at Norwich and interdisciplinary collaboration is encouraged and supported in both instruction and research.

Responsibilities include teaching design studios, advanced seminars, lecture courses in history/theory; advising and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students; and university service. For tenure-track faculty, professional development including research or other creative endeavors is expected, and resources are available to support these endeavors. Faculty are expected to develop a research program toward publication and external presentations. Integrating research into teaching is a mainstay of the University.
