Job Summary/Basic Function
The Offutt School of Business invites applicants with a background and qualifications in Economics for a full-time tenure eligible Academically Qualified position, beginning in August 2025. We seek collegial faculty who view themselves foremost as educators and possess a commitment to scholarship to inform their teaching. There is a preference for sustainability, professional and/or international knowledge and experience. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate introductory courses as well as upper-level courses. The successful candidate must demonstrate the capability of making intellectual contributions, including the publication of research in refereed journals. Responsibilities also include advising students, serving on faculty committees, and service to the profession and the community. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience, and are competitive.
The Offutt School of Business is one of the largest units in the College, offering majors in Accounting, International Business, Finance, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, and Business (with concentrations in management, marketing, economics, human resources, project management, and cybersecurity). The School strives to develop global, ethical, and entrepreneurial leaders for all types of organizations. Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Economics or relevant doctorate with recent and sustained research in economics topics. ABD candidates with a definite completion date and scholarly growth potential are invited to apply.
