Director of Clinical Mental Health Counseling MS Program
Brescia University, a Catholic Liberal Arts University located in Kentucky is searching for a director to help develop a new Clinical Mental Health Counseling MS Program. This person will provide leadership to the operation of the program and will also be a full-time faculty member.
Qualifications are:
- Doctoral degree in counselor education, preferably from a CACREP accredited program OR
- A related doctoral degree with 1 academic year of experience as a full-time faculty member in a counselor education program OR
- Full-time doctoral-level faculty member in a CORE-accredited master’s program OR
- Graduation from a rehabilitation doctoral program
- Licensed (or KY state license eligible) as a professional clinical counselor (LPCC)
Responsibilities are, but are not limited to:
- Program development including curriculum development, create student handbook and other required documents, development of the program budget and expenditures and involvement in faculty employment decisions;
- Respond to inquiries regarding the overall counselor education program
- Work with program faculty to ensure their knowledge of ongoing professional development opportunities, and keeps an annual record of professional development for all faculty within the program;
- Receive, process, and analyze all course assessment products from program faculty within the discipline and uploads requested data into Campus Labs each semester/year;
- Assist with the processing of student academic complaints, especially grade grievances;
- Maintain contact with CACREP in relation to the program and prepares all needed documents for accreditation/reaffirmation
