Assistant/Associate Professor of Elementary Education
Limestone University invites applications for the position of a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Elementary Education starting January 2025. The primary responsibilities of the person who occupies this position will include dynamic teaching of undergraduate courses related to Elementary Education and Literacy, advising undergraduate Elementary Education Teacher Candidates, participation in accreditation and other Teacher Education Program academic and social activities, service to the institution and the field, and scholarly activity. Courses will be taught face-to-face on the Gaffney, South Carolina campus during normal business hours. Occasional evening and weekend events will require attendance. Experience with Canvas is preferred. Familiarity with South Carolina Teaching Standards, CAEP, and South Carolina Elementary Education Standards preferred. Some travel required.
A terminal degree with 18 graduate hours in Elementary Education and 18 hours in literacy is required. A minimum of three years of successful elementary public-school teaching is required.
